How Will The Championship Season Play Out

The Championship is set to resume on the weekend of June 19-21, with all games to be played behind closed doors. This is a big sigh of relief for those who are at the top of the table, giving them the chance to play for promotion, while those at the bottom will be fighting for their lives in the hope of not dropping into League One.

This is set to deliver some fascinating games, there is a lot at stake for many clubs and it will all be done without any fans in attendance, in stadiums that are going to be incredibly quiet. So, how will all of this play out in the Championship?

Can Leeds Secure Promotion?

Leeds are top of the Championship and after missing out on promotion last season, this appears to be an even better opportunity for them. They are currently one point ahead of West Brom, and a further seven clear of Fulham who are down in third place. The latest soccer prediction today will show that Leeds are fancied by many people for promotion, and given their form before the lockdown it is hard to disagree with that.

They won five in a row before the break, and every single one of them came with a clean sheet. There will no doubt be many people heading to the top betting sites when football resumes to back Leeds for promotion.

There are new sports betting websites appearing online very regularly. Some of these are brand new, while others are formerly shops that have moved online to increase the size of their business. A great example of this would be VOdds, who are a huge Asian handicap bookmaker that bring together the very best real-time odds for users from many different Asian bookmakers. The bookmakers include MaxBet, SBOBET and Pinnacle Sports amongst others.

Odds are accessible through vodds.com, vodds.co and vodds.net, while those who have access to a VPN can use this to gain uninterrupted access to the platform. Many bookmakers are moving online due to costs, but the great news for punters is that this also allows them to increase the number of betting markets they offer.

Who Will be Promoted with Leeds?

Assuming that Leeds do get back up into the Premier League, who joins them?

The favourites have to be West Brom, who currently sit in second place right now. They have a six-point lead over Fulham in third, and with the top two guaranteed automatic promotion, they have a cushion which they can try to defend over the last nine games.

That would likely leave Fulham in the playoffs, with teams such as Brentford, Nottingham Forest, Preston and Bristol City all fighting to claim one of those four spots. The teams that do make the playoffs will fight it out for one final promotion spot to join the top two in the Premier League.

With so much at stake, the remainder of this Championship season promises to be fantastic.
