The team colors are red and white, and their logo is a flag of Baravia with a crest showing the blue and white colors. Bayern’s motto is “Mia San Mia,” which directly translates to “We are who we are.” The team is currently  being managed by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and is captained by goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Bayern Munich ranks as the most successful soccer team in German football history with 30 national titles. The team has won the Bundesliga title for eight straight years since 2013, with 20 national trophies and several European honors.

Bayern FC was founded in 1900 and consisted of 11 players, which included Franz John. However, the club was not selected for the Bundesliga league, regardless of winning the 1932 national championship. Under the captaincy of Franz Beckenbauer in the mid-1970, the team was able to win the European cup for three consecutive times from 1974 – 1976.

In July 2017, Bayern announced that tenants 1860 Munich would leave the Allianz to better the club’s performance. It also made major changes to its players before the 2017-18 season, where they signed several young players, including Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnarbry, Corentin Tolisso, and Niklas Sule, among others.

Up to 2020, Bayern had reached eleven EUFA Champions League finals. During these times, the team was the only European football team to win the continental treble twice. Munich also won the European Cup Winners Cup, EUFA Cup, two FIFA Club World Cups, two Super Cups, and two Intercontinental Cups. That made Bayern the most victorious European club internationally and the only team to win both continental titles in Germany. Bayern won the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, making it the second team to win the sextuple.

Bayern has played its home games at the Allianz Arena since the 2005/2006 season. Before that, the team played at Munich Olympiastadion for about 33 years. Munich is the fourth highest-earning football team globally and the largest in the world in income generation, recording about 660.1 million Euros in 2020.

Fan Clubs

As of November 2019, Bayern had registered 293,000 official members and 4499 officially registered fan clubs with more than 350,000 members. The team also has other departments like basketball, chess, bowling, table tennis, handball, and a senior football with over 1100 active members.

Hans-Dieter Flick, the team’s coach, has led it to a conspicuous win, and in April 2020, the team agreed to a new permanent contract till 2023. Under the management of Flick, the team has played the most successful league of the Bundesliga season and won. That put the team at the top of the chain, and they’ve also recorded the club’s 13th domestic double.
