This is a sport played on ice with a hard puck, usually around 100–150 grams (4–5 oz) in weight, or a hard rubber ball that has been filled with snow and is therefore much heavier than the regulation ice hockey puck. The objective is for the goaltenders to shoot the puck into the goal of the opposing team while preventing the players from doing so. Each team consists of two goaltenders, twelve skaters on the ice, and three bench players.
