Denzil Dumfries to EPL?

There has always been a healthy dose of Dutch talent in English football and the Premier League with considerable value often found when casting a curious eye over performers from that part of the world. In the modern era alone, the likes of Dennis Bergkamp, Edwin van der Sar, Robin van Persie and Virgil van Dijk have all become fan favourites in their respective surroundings of choice. Denzil Dumfries is the latest star to get tongues wagging.

Is Denzil Dumfries destined for the Premier League?

There are plenty of Netherlands internationals to be found gracing top-flight competition at present, with the promise of more to come as each passing transfer window brings with it fresh opportunities in which to bolster collective ranks.

Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea all boast the kind of deep pockets and big ambition that has allowed trophy-laden eras of success to be enjoyed – with Dutch raiders often figuring prominently in those plans.

Silverware

Manchester City have become the team to beat in more recent times, and even they have a touch of Oranje about them in the form of Nathan Ake. Pep Guardiola has, with an enviable collection of major silverware under his belt, proved to be a master of navigating what can often be a treacherous recruitment market. Success has been a team effort, though, with a man at the top of a managerial food chain able to lean heavily on others when it comes to overall endeavours.

The sports industry is all about pooling resources and getting everybody pulling in the same direction. Participants at any level know this. Even a spectator interested in placing a wager on the action can benefit from the tips, advice and support of other sports fans – whether they’re casual viewers or tipping pros.

Points, profit and prizes are the ultimate end goal and tips will always be worth their weight in gold when attempting to solve the most complex of riddles, and handy advice is out there. Words of wisdom are whispered into ears at the Etihad Stadium or scribbled on a piece of paper down the local park. More modern solutions to finding profit in betting exist too. By signing up to the tipster channels at Sports Betting Portfolio, a bettor can receive advice straight to their mobile phones. Everybody is chasing the same dream of ending up on the right side – the considered selections and meticulous tracking of professionals provide support there.

Impressive

At the top, Guardiola and Co rely on coaching and statistical teams to nudge them in the right direction. Finding the right pieces to that puzzle is never easy, particularly when competing with proven performers such as City, and the challenge facing Erik ten Hag, Mikel Arteta, Jurgen Klopp and Graham Potter is how to give themselves the best possible chance of chasing reigning champions down while working with the information and funds at their disposal.

Another opportunity to bolster their respective ranks will present itself in January, and there is plenty of speculation to suggest that a familiar path will be trodden when it comes to delivering on the hope and expectation of those on the field and in the stands.

Denzel Dumfries has become a name on everybody’s lips again, with that not an entirely new situation for him given a collection of impressive performances covered by the Daily Mail at Euro 2020 earned him a move to Italian giants Inter. He is a player that has registered on Manchester United’s radar for some time, with there enough discussion at present to suggest that Arsenal and Chelsea have been added to that mix.

Dumfries In Demand

Dumfries has said, in quotes covered by Football.London, when asked about the supposed interest being shown in him: “Of course it’s a compliment. But when you put the Nerazzurri shirt on that is also a big compliment. I’m focused on the national team and I play for a very, very beautiful club in Italy. I’m very proud that I can play for Inter so I am focused on nothing else but the national team and Inter.”

It is easy to see why he is in demand – with plenty of boxes ticked when it comes to 21st century full-backs boasting power, pace and threats at both ends of the pitch – with his qualities catching the eye of managers and scouting systems across Europe. Plenty of those currently reside in England and it may that Dumfries is destined to follow in the footsteps of some illustrious countrymen as he agrees to take on the challenge of making his own mark on a Premier League stage.
